Nutrition
Indoors: Once a fortnight a normal dose of fertilizer that is suitable for houseplants (according to the direction for use) can be given together with the water. Outdoors: A normal, good, general fertilizer should be given several times between March and July, during the period of growing. Often it will do to mix some peat and a little of dry cow manure into the surface of the soil around the plant shortly after winter. From early August no nutrition has to be given so the plant can harden off and winter as strong as possible. Not too much manure has to be given, so the plant will grow compact. Blue Hydrangeas just need a little nutrition because they will grow more blue in poor and acid soil. Order nutrients for your Hydrangeas. Click here.
